The Professional Development Coordinator will develop, implement and coordinate firmwide professional development programs for lawyers, including with respect to lawyer orientation and integration, training programs, associate and partner retreats, associate evaluations, morale and other programs that promote lawyer engagement and development.
The Professional Development Coordinator works closely under the Director of Professional Development and Senior Manager of U.S. Attorney Training & Development and has daily contact with other members of the Talent Department and contact with firmwide lawyers, committee chairs, practice group leadership, other firm personnel across departments and offices and vendors.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Work with Director of Professional Development and Senior Manager of U.S. Attorney Training & Development to develop, implement and coordinate firmwide training programs, Critical Skills Institute curriculum and associate and partner retreats
Assist with planning and execution of lawyer orientation and integration programs
Assist with annual evaluation process
Coordinate office and firmwide social morale events
Manage logistics of training programs, including creating/sending invitations, scheduling, working with presenters, distributing materials, monitoring programs, ordering meals, arranging IT details, collecting and organizing feedback, and general troubleshooting.
Monitor training feedback trends and shares with appropriate parties
Create and maintain firm-wide training calendar of activities and identify potential conflicts with other firm events
Maintain the Department’s intranet, including posting programs, relevant announcements, updates, etc.
Review, organize and maintain recordings of training programs.
Order, track and report on inventory of branded materials
Schedule department meetings and draft meeting notes as needed.
Create, revise and update department resources, documents and guides and other projects as assigned.
Submits expense reports for reimbursement.
Assist with special projects and collaborate with other firm departments as needed
Any other responsibilities or special projects as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS / KSAs:

Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, and database management systems.
The Professional Development Coordinator will perform functions in accordance with the standards of the Firm and Talent Team.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree or higher;
Experience in attorney training, management or CLE;
Must have experience working in mid-size to large law firm or office.
