The Lateral Partner Recruiting Manager will have oversight and responsibility for all lateral partner hiring as well as certain Of Counsel hiring. This role will support the Director of Legal Recruiting in determining firmwide lateral partner hiring priorities and developing and remaining aligned to a strategy for fulfilling those needs. The Lateral Partner Recruiting Manger will coordinate all stages of evaluation and diligence for each candidate and group and will maintain charts and reports tracking all current and historical lateral partner recruiting efforts on behalf of the Firm. This position will develop relationships with search firms and other recruiters, including counterparts at other firms, and work to employ best practices for a lateral partner recruiting strategy. This individual will develop successful tactics for sourcing and contacting potential candidates independent of the firm's relationships with legal search firms. The position will also facilitate an integration plan for each lateral partner hired to the Firm.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Human Resources, Business, or related field; Juris Doctor preferred. A minimum of five years of recruiting or project management experience in the professional services industry; law firm experience preferred. Additional requirements include project and process management, follow through and follow-up and attention to detail; strong written and oral communication skills; sound judgment and the ability to define problems, establish facts and offer creative, innovative and effective solutions; professional, positive, respectful, friendly demeanor and attitude; ability to maintain confidential information; demonstrated success in managing and delivering programs and executing tasks on time; highly motivated, creative, flexible, results-oriented and possesses the ability to work independently under pressure with demanding deadlines.
