Business Intelligence / Financial Analyst – Phoenix, AZ
Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie LLP, an Am Law 200 law firm, is seeking a Business Intelligence / Financial Analyst in our Phoenix office. The successful candidate will have a strong analytical background, be able to use various reporting tools and software to streamline and automate the dissemination of financial data, and will own the pricing and profitability models that supports firm decision-making.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Create financial reports and models to assess performance and profitability of specific practice groups, clients, matters, and timekeepers
Perform rate, revenue, expense, compensation, and other ad hoc analysis
Measure law firm KPIs, benchmark internally and externally, while fully understanding firm and industry metrics
Identify trends and recommend solutions to firm Leadership related to profit improvement
Support legal project management efforts with pricing and profit analysis for alternative fee arrangements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
3-5 years of experience in financial analyses role
Strong systems knowledge with ability to independently extract and link data
Ability to develop and work with financial models
Must be analytical, inquisitive, and want to make a contribution to the Department and firm
Excellent communicator, both gregarious and intelligent
Must be professional and adept at working with senior management and different personalities
Law firm or other professional services experience
Knowledge of Elite/Aderant or similar accounting software
Experience with Business Intelligence software/tools
SQL and database experience
MBA or advanced degree
