Johnson Executive Search, Inc. has been retained by Goulston & Storrs P.C. to recruit a Chief Legal Talent Officer (CLTO). Goulston & Storrs is an Am Law 200 firm with offices in Boston, Washington, DC, and New York. A key leadership role in the firm, the CLTO will be responsible for developing and leading the legal recruiting, professional development, diversity and inclusion and retention strategies, plans and initiatives in alignment with the culture and business imperatives of the firm.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who operates comfortably at an executive level with demonstrated success creating, articulating, developing, implementing and tracking sophisticated strategies geared to thoughtful growth. An exceptional leader with a passion for developing others, the successful candidate will be a highly effective communicator with a demonstrated strength in building collaborative relationships with attorneys, staff, peers and within the legal and business communities. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a successful track record for cultivating and implementing new ideas and approaches to address complex talent sourcing and management issues.

A minimum of 10 years of professional development and/or legal recruiting experience in a large, multi-office law firm is required. Demonstrated success in building, developing and managing a team is essential. A Bachelor’s degree is required; a JD, MBA or other advanced degree is a plus. Travel is required. The position is based in Boston, MA; however, the firm is accepting candidates from other geographical locations.
