Learning and Development Specialist
The National Office of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) is seeking a dynamic professional to serve as a strategic business partner and contribute to the development of new professional education programs and initiatives.
Our Education Department develops and administers the content of the association's educational programs, including continuing legal education (CLE) conferences, audio and web seminars, new online CLE initiatives, and conference handbooks and materials. AILA’s conferences and CLE programs are designed to keep our members abreast of emerging trends while providing valuable information and giving successful strategies to use in their cases.
Your Role …
As Learning and Development Specialist, you will actively participate in the development of new educational programming for our association members. Your function includes assuming full responsibility for expanding, developing, standardizing, and implementing programs; growing revenue streams; and supporting various department initiatives. Your role also requires an entrepreneurial spirit in order to work collaboratively with internal and external partners and forge necessary alliances.

Your Background …
To perform successfully in this role, our ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Organization Development, Education, or a related field. Advanced degree is preferred.
Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience conducting, designing and implementing professional education programs; and strong writing and editing skills. Experience with Learning Management Systems preferred. Immigration law practice experience is a plus.
