The Legal Recruiting and Professional Development Coordinator will support our firm-wide legal recruiting, training, development, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. This position requires a high level of collaboration with attorneys and staff and the ability to work independently. Essential duties and responsibilities include:
Provide administrative support for various Recruiting, Professional Development and Diversity initiatives including reserving conference rooms, submitting catering requests, coordinating IS set-up, and collaborating with other offices.
Assist with orientation, on-boarding and integration of new attorneys, including preparing and maintaining personnel file, preparing orientation materials and serving as an information source and liaison.
Assist with all aspects of attorney and summer associate hiring, including scheduling interviews, greeting candidates, and maintaining record of search firm agreements.
Assist with on-campus interviews, including preparing on-campus interviewing materials and weekly Hiring Committee reports during the on-campus recruiting season.
Maintain and update applicant tracking database (LawCruit) and prepare correspondence as needed.
Assist in the planning and administration of the summer associate program.
Provide administrative support for the attorney evaluation process.
Assist with all aspects of the firm’s Continuing Legal Education initiatives, including coordinating in-house training programs, updating the Firm’s CLE database (CE Manager), and maintaining individual attorney CLE compliance.
Provide support for new and ongoing diversity and inclusion programs and events.
Coordinate registration and work with Marketing Department to design ads for affinity group events.
Assist with other administrative duties such as filing, creating labels, scanning, copying and processing expenses.
Requirements, Skills and Related Competencies:
Bachelor’s Degree required, with 1-3 years of office experience in a business professional setting.
Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively, while meeting critical deadlines.
Exemplary written and oral communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced service-oriented environment.
Ability to handle confidential documents and information appropriately.
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with viEval, Lawcruit and/or CE Manager a plus.
