Preparation and distribution of weekly and monthly docket reports and reports for special projects using CPI;
Creating reports for special projects, etc. using CPI;
Prepare and send deadline reminders to clients and attorneys;
Preparation of cost estimates for new filings, etc.
Prepare and file trademark prosecution documents and assignments with the U.S. Trademark Office electronically;
Prepare and file customs registrations and renewals with U.S. Customs and Border Patrol;
Correspond directly with foreign counsel on routine international trademark prosecution and maintenance matters;
Communicate directly with clients regarding routine phases of trademark prosecution;
Assist attorneys in TTAB filings, i.e., extensions of time to file a notice of opposition; docketing same in CPI;
Conduct and review preliminary and full trademark clearance searches; prepare draft clearance memo/letters;
Prepare and record ownership and change of name documents related to trademarks;
Conduct due diligence on trademark portfolios;
Prepare and file copyright applications;
Draft simple cease and desist letters for review by attorneys;
Draft basic office action responses in USPTO;
Facilitate domain name transfers; and
Manage special projects as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of trademark prosecution experience;
Must have ability to complete task effectively in a fast-paced environment;
Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
