This position is responsible for the maintenance and administration of all aspects of the firms infrastructure including VMware, Office 365, iManage, networking and routing, server upgrades, and VOIP phones. Additional responsibilities include maintaining SCCM, patching, group policy, active directory and scripting. Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Juniper and Cisco routers and switches, Mitel phone systems and cloud migrations is a plus. Works closely with the Help Desk to provide and maintain overall business continuity, ensures 24x7 system stability and availability, and serves as an escalation point for desktop or application issues.
Collaborates with the Director, Infrastructure Operations, and various teams in evolving vision for end-user solutions and technology operations. Evolves application delivery and the supporting infrastructure. Designs and implements upgrade strategies.
Provides disaster recovery and security of the firm's voice, video and data networks including the management, maintenance, support, installation and implementation of servers, routers, switches, gateways, printers, telephone systems, voicemail systems, firewalls, videoconferencing, client and remote communications, backups and SANs.
Supports technology infrastructure, Exchange administration, network servers, server clustering, storage and backups, and VMWare.
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and with Group Policy Objects (GPOs), writing and troubleshooting, including software deployment and security settings and configurations.
In depth knowledge and troubleshooting skills of desktop operating systems methodologies (file system, registry, services, etc.), as well as system tools and remote desktop support.
Utilize scripting (PowerShell) to automate tasks as needed.
Develop and maintain documentation on all processes, configurations, interfaces, and scripting.
Provides support in facilities related changes (relocation, expansion, etc.) in multiple locations for the Firm.
Supports hosted application and infrastructure services.
Supports the integration of technology security and HIPAA compliance with the Firm´s business strategies and requirements.
Supports goals, objectives, priorities, and activities to be accomplished consistent with the Department's mission, goals and objectives.
Provide end-user support as needed.
Assist with additional tasks and projects as needed.
Periodic after-hours support may be needed.
Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology field.
Relevant technical certifications, preferred.
Experience working in a law firm or professional services firm.
Experience transitioning to a Windows 10 environment, configuring and supporting desktops and laptops.
10 years of experience in technology, with 5 years in operations and support.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems , software packages and products.
Hands-on experience with SCCM and experience with scripting.
Detail oriented and ability to develop implementation plans.
Ability to travel.
