Global Center City immigration law firm offers an exciting opportunity for a Business Immigration Associate Attorney to rapidly gain immigration law experience. Candidate will oversee preparation of business-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications for multinational and domestic corporations. Candidate must have successfully passed the Bar Exam, along with possess the ability to be a professional leader and team player with strong drafting, proofreading, communication and organizational skills. Candidate must also be able to provide exceptional customer service with limited supervision.
Primary job duties include:
Counsel clients and oversee high-volume of business immigration cases including immigrant and nonimmigrant employment-based matters including H1B, TN, L-1A and L-1B, O-1, E visas, EB-1 and National Interest Waivers and PERM processes, as well as federal court challenges and compliance audits.
Prepare employment-based immigration petitions and applications, including Requests for Further Evidence, Appeals and audits by the Department of Labor.
Prioritize, organize and delegate work load to Legal Assistant(s)
Consult with Senior Associate Attorneys on potential case issues and proceeding case strategy
Draft correspondence to clients and relevant administrative agency, as well as communicate directly with same when applicable
Maintain organized, legally compliant client files, monitor deadlines and progress of individuals cases
Conduct legal research regarding regulations and procedures in immigration law
Contribute to the development of practice processes to ensure team operates efficiently and effectively
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Law firm experience highly preferred but not necessary
Immigration experience preferred (willing to train the right individual)
Meticulously detail-oriented with strong writing, critical thinking, research, verbal communication, time and case management skills
Must be highly organized and disciplined with willingness to work hard
Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner
Education & Experience:
2 years of law firm experience highly preferred
Successfully passed the Bar Exam
