Weston County, Wyoming, has a deputy county and prosecuting attorney position open. $75,000 per year salary is currently allocated for the position with full benefits and would require thirty hours per week of work. The candidate would be free to operate a private practice as well. The attorney would have to live in Weston County, Wyoming. The position would entail prosecuting crimes in Weston County and providing the county with civil legal advice. Court convenes in Weston County seven regular times per month. Four judges come to Weston County on a circuit and all are excellent. It is a welcoming community with ample outdoor recreation activities. The position would include being available for law enforcement on a rotating on-call basis. The deputy would have broad discretion in the execution of their duties, including hours and charging decisions. Newcastle, Wyoming, provides excellent economic, recreational, and educational opportunities for families. Funds for pre-employment visits and relocation are negotiable.

Additional Salary Information: Full county benefits (health insurance, pension, deferred compensation, life insurance, etc). The position would also permit private practice work with Berger & Brown, Attorneys. The attorney would essentially be the only attorney in the city of Newcastle, where there is great need for real estate and estate planning legal assistance. Private practice would conservatively add $2,000 per month to gross income.
