Nossaman LLP is seeking an Application Specialist who will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, support and efficient operation of the firm’s desktop application environment. The position will be part of the IT Infrastructure Department that supports eight offices. The Application Specialist should have strong working knowledge of common legal applications including MS Office, macro packages and Document Management System. This position is located in the Los Angeles Office and reports to the Senior Technology Manager.
Maintain and provide escalated support for the firm’s legal applications and application integrations
Research, recommend, and test application enhancements to better serve the needs of the Firm
Partner with IT Technical Support and Training teams to ensure proper support and end user training of legal applications
Partner with other departments to obtain requirements, support, and maintain specialized software.
Assist with support of the Windows workstation environment including application configuration, integrations and group policies
Provide quality customer service including direct end-user assistance in support of the Firm’s Technical Support Team.
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes
Other duties as assigned
3+ Years supporting Microsoft Office including macros and add-ins
3+ Years Windows workstation troubleshooting
2+ Years supporting iManage, Prosperoware Milan, iCreate, Litera, Adobe, InterAction, Aderant, IntApp, and other legal applications preferred
1+ Years Supporting applications hosted on Windows Server or Cloud providers
Experience testing and deploying software packages via SCCM or related tools
Working knowledge of application relationships between client, server, and database technologies
Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies, scripting, batch files and Powershell
Working knowledge of mobile device management and mobile applications
Working knowledge of Citrix published desktops and applications
Ability to work effectively and support the needs of the IT Infrastructure, IT Technical Support and Training teams with time sensitive deadlines
Excellent customer service, strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong troubleshooting skills
Proven experience supporting large number (200 or more) of end users
Strong sense of ownership, accountability, urgency, prioritization and follow-through
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Prior law firm experience preferred
Available to work flexible hours as needed, including monthly maintenance windows and after hours emergencies
BA/BS degree preferred
